Main Goal
To have the REAL SELF DEFENSE CENTER be an enjoyable and rewarding experience. The center facilitates hospitality, safe and challenging programs to promote growth and the students well being.
Immediate Goal - Seminar Training
To impact and broaden the students perspective of confrontation and violence.
To enhance awareness and increase their options by producing quick to learn, easy to retain, user friendly effective personal protection strategies and tactics
Short term goal and short training time line
( 4-8 months of group training or 20 - 40 hours of custom private instruction).
A student of REAL SELF DEFENSE CENTER will, within this training time, be introduced to strategies and tactics in all combative ranges. This includes: weapons - offence / defense, stand-up, close quarter, ground fighting
This objective gives the student the foundational concepts, strategies and tactics for self-defense / personal protection and continued on-going training, if they choose.
From this foundation the student views confrontation and violence from a more prepared and confident place. The student will feel safer and more in control.
Long term goal and Longer Training Time line
( 1-2 years )
The student will have established a very strong foundation in all the ranges of the combative arts, within this training time. They will have honed their strategic and tactical combative skills so their response is intuitive and spontaneous to the specific attack and scenario.
Along with the combative skill, they will have greatly improved conditioning ( endurance, stamina, strength and flexibility ) and athletic ability ( agility, mobility, balance, speed, power, coordination ).
Here, levels of recognition / certification are introduced. This is for students that want a training guide for personal knowledge or would like to pursue an instructor role.
